FIHP Annual Giving

Dear IHP Parents,

Annual Giving is the FIHP's main means of fundraising.  As you apply to high schools, consider giving back for the gift of being able to say your child graduated from the IHP.  We are asking each IHP family to donate $600 to the "Friends of the IHP" to help us continue to give our teachers and classrooms basic support.  Yes, Prop. 30 passed but money will not be added back into the district budgets until approximately 2016.

If $600 is prohibitive, please consider donating what you can. Our goal is 100% participation.

Dear IHP Families,

We need your help now more than ever to maintain the quality eduction your children are currently receiving at the Walter Reed IHP.

We are asking for $600/child from each family or whatever amount you are able to give right now.  Our goal is 100% participation.

If you have already given, we thank you for your generous support.

Buy a Bag (or Two) and Support the FIHP

Support the IHP and the environment by purchasing a reusable, durable, washable grocery bag! Only 1-1/2 ounces, with an attached pouch in which to store the bag, Chico bags hold up to 25 pounds and are small and light enough to keep with you all the time. So no more forgetting your bags in the car. Buy any (or all) of the 10 colors and make shopping a colorful experience while raising money for the school.

Spelling Bee Club

Interested students can pick up a list of spelling words posted Mondays in front of Room 172, the SLC office, and the Library. Students study the list for the week and then on Friday 3-4 pm a spelling bee is held. Students from Reed are picked to compete in the January Regional Bee held at Reed, then off to Nationals. For more information please contact Ms. DeSimone.

Math Counts

MathCounts is a national enrichment activity that promotes middle school mathematics achievement. Reed's award-winning MathCounts team meets Fridays 3-4 pm under the the tutelage of Ms. Lawrence. Details to be announced.
